Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust(R) was established in the year 1973 which has been functioning under the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math,The Mutt sanctified by the penace of Lord Shiva, is an Religious Institution of India. This "Dharampeetha" is committed for preservation and propagation of Indian Heritage through the ages. Sri Math is located in Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya District, 105 kilometers from Bangalore, to its West, on National Highway 48. The Math's objective envisages the spreading of essence of spirutialism to establish universal brotherhood and global peace.The trust is managed by a board of trustees and the chairman of the trust is the present pontiff Sri Sri Sri Dr.Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji.
Initially the Trust was formed with the aims and objectives as follows
In the holy lineage of "Guruparampara", His Holiness jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji took charge as the 71st spiritual Head of Sri Adhichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math in 1974, at the age of 30. From that day on, Sri Math began its upward journey with rapid strides.
His Holiness Jagadguru Sri sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Swamiji's efforts have focused on the basic necessities like Anna, Akshara and Arogya (i.e Food, Education and health). Sri Sri Swamiji has established more than four hundred recognised and highly regarded educational Institutions, where in more than seventy thousand students are quenching their thirst of knowledge; a significant number are from rural areas.
His Holiness started more than 480 Educational Institutions across the globe right from Play school to Professional Education where in around One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand students from different across section of society are quenching the the thirst of knowledge Ten Thousand students gained the opportunity of getting free education. With the vision of giving modern education with urban standards to rural masses more than 85% of institutions are in rural areas.
Man cannot live in isolation, however great he may be. He depends on society in every walk of life. It therefore becomes his bounden duty to give back to society what he receives from it. It will indeed be a wasted life if he cannot pay back this debt to society, albeit in little measure, during his lifetime.This can be done if man is constantly at tuned to the wants of the less privileged.
Today the world is a boiling cauldron of social ills like illiteracy, ill health and poverty, compounded by natural disasters like earthquakes and floods. If only each one of us takes up cudgels against just one issue and make it our business to alleviate the problem! How wonderful if each one of us made it our life's mission to provide just one family with the basic necessities of Anna, Akshara and Arogya...food, education and health! But engaging oneself in social service is no mean task. It should not be indulged in for the sake of fame or fortune.
Social service must be done with the spirit of doing one's duty, and not as dispensing a favour. One should indeed feel blessed that he has been given an opportunity to serve the needy.Service to mankind is service to God, and not for a moment should this dictum be forgotten.
The Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust(R), with a view to propagate education, research and service to humanity at large. In its journey of commitments to the nation for more than Four Decades, the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust has established a number of educational institutions running mainly in Medical, Nursing, Engineering, Management, General Education, Education, Pharmacy, Ayurvedic, etc.
These institutes of the trust are located at throughout the state of Karnataka and Salem and Erode in Tamil Nadu, having strength of more than 10 million students. All these institutions are run under the able guidance of Sri Sri Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji
Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (regd), started in the year 1973, to render social, charitable, educational and medical services, blended with spiritualism to all sections of the society across the nation and overseas, under the stewardship of the pontiff of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, who was also the President of the Trust.
His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji dedicated his whole life for the service of mankind. He strongly believed in Karma Yoga and tirelessly worked for the betterment of the Society.

Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math situated on a rocky hillock about 110kms west of Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka from times immemorial has been a place of vivid scenic beauty. The lush green woods and serenity of the lakes provide a sanctified atmosphere for spiritual aspirants to meditate and the seers to internalize themselves. Amidst this serenity stands the Adichunchangiri Mahasamstana with Lord Gangadhareshwara as the presiding deity along with four other avatars/incarnations of Lord Shiva in their ferocious forms for demolishing the Demons &the unrighteous viz Lord Malleshwara, Lord Kattale Someshwara, Lord Gavi Siddeshwara & Lord Chandramouleshwara.
This temple complex also comprises other deities like Sri Ganapathi (the prototype for all religious rites), Sthambhambika Devi (Counterpart & source of Energy to Lord Shiva) , Sri Subramaneshwara (divine army chief) , Mallamma Devi and many others. This vast premises including the temple complex and the surrounding area, famous as Sri Kalabyraveshwara Kshetra attracts thousands of devotees and tourists from all parts of India and abroad. The other temples in this kshetra like the Pancha Lingasannidhi (5 symbols of Lord Shiva), Jwala Peetha( place of penance), Nagalingeshwara Sannidhi also consecrate the environ and bless the devotees arriving here.
Though this ancient ‘Dharma Peetha’ with a history of 1500 yrs, has been preserved and succeeded by many great seers and sages in the past who have contributed widely for the Indian heritage, it gained momentum reaching the masses and was popularized only after 1974 when its 71st pontiff His Holiness Jagadguru Padmabhooshana Bhairavaikya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji took his vow of Sanyasa (renunciation) and succeeded the lineage of Nath Parampara in 1974. From then the Adichunchanagiri Math has involved itself in numerous activities encompassing all the sections of the community viz Educational, Socio-cultural, Economic, Health, Vocational and so on.
The Adichunchangiri Mahasamstana being the apex body has many trusts working under its assistance patronizing and providing services in varied sectors.
Through Adichuchanagiri Shikshana Trust, the Math aids more than 450 + Educational institutions. Free and General hostels in almost all District Head Quarters provide boarding and lodging facilities for poor students. The Math also runs schools for the visually disabled children in Ramanagar district as an endeavor to bring light in the lives of these children.
His intention of serving the needy countrymen through various Orphanages, Destitute & Old Age homes, Geriatric centers claims appreciation. Further his objective of seeing India gain back its glory as a centre for Educational excellence by setting up several Medical, Para medical and Engineering Institutions has helped the National as well as International fraternity to avail this privilege.
